To members of the UC Berkeley community,

Now that external consultants have finished their detailed review of our intercollegiate athletics program and submitted a number of valuable findings and recommendations, I am writing to provide an update to the Berkeley campus and alumni communities on my plans and intentions.

Hello,

Our planning team of staff and students are very excited to offer an UndocuAlly Training Program at UC Berkeley.  “UndocuAlly” is a term that the planning team adopted to refer to allies for our undocumented students at Cal.

This will be a 5-hour training that is offered twice this semester.  Going forward, the training will be offered at least once a semester.

Dear Campus -

It's with mixed emotions I announce Assistant Vice Chancellor Claudia Covello is retiring from UC Berkeley. I know she has loved serving in her role and supporting our campus community but she is ready for her next life adventure. Her last day will be June 28, 2018.

Dear Colleagues,

March is National Women’s History Month when we honor the multiple contributions of women in history, culture and society. This annual celebration has its roots locally in Sonoma, where a school event in the late 1970’s spurred other organizations across the country to raise awareness and start sharing their stories. Today, it is a month-long event, celebrated globally, and anchored by International Women’s Day on March 8.

For the last four years, OCR has been reviewing the campus’s handling of sexual violence and sexual harassment cases. This agreement brings the investigation to a close.
