Dear Colleagues,
It’s time! Registration for the lottery for the Next Opportunity at Work (NOW) Staff Career Development Conference is now open! The 2020 Next Opportunity at Work Conference: “Envision Your Future” will be held virtually Thursday, July 30. You’ll get career resources, skills, and inspiration that will help you to be successful today and in the future at Berkeley (and beyond).
We have reimagined the 2020 conference by developing a program designed to give you the same dynamic learning experience and networking opportunities that you’ve come to expect from our NOW Conference. The conference will include:
-
2 Inspiring Keynote Speakers
-
15 dynamic breakout sessions available throughout the day
-
1:1 coaching sessions (Coaches’ Corner and Recruiters’ Corner)
Visit our website to learn more about the registration process, agenda for the conference, session descriptions, and more!
In line with UC Berkeley’s Staff Participation in Campus-Sponsored Activities, Including Sponsored Staff Organizations, Campus-Sponsored Fellowship Programs policy, and UC Office of the President Policy PPSM-50, managers and supervisors are encouraged to approve requests from staff to attend the 2020 NOW Conference. This is a wonderful opportunity to show your team how much you value them, while providing the resources, materials, and motivation they need to fully engage and perform at their highest potential. Please discuss this important opportunity with members of your team and encourage them to participate in this full day of online professional development.
As we navigate this unprecedented time, UC Berkeley People & Culture wants you to know that we’re here to support you and you can find COVID-19 specific resources on our website. Now, more than ever, we feel it is important for UC Berkeley staff to safely maintain community while continuing your learning and career development. Questions or suggestions may be directed to the NOW Conference Committee (nowconference@berkeley.edu).
Thank you,
Eugene
Eugene Whitlock, Chief People & Culture Officer
