Dear Campus Community,
On Tuesday, September 10, 2019 the campus will hold its annual memorial event to recognize the more than 54 faculty, staff, students, emeriti faculty, and staff retirees who passed on last year. The event will take place from 12 to 1 p.m. at the flagpole west of California Hall. The program will include brief remarks and a reading of the names of those we are remembering, followed by music and poetry. The ceremony will conclude with the placement of personal tokens at the memorial site. Those attending are invited to bring a flower, ribbon or other token. All are invited to attend.
The Campus Memorial is an important Berkeley tradition that symbolizes the care and support that distinguishes the Berkeley community.
In coming together to remember and to honor the lives of the deceased, we reach out to our many colleagues and friends who have suffered loss, and we share in a universal human experience that touches us all.
