Upgraded Facilities Service request system provides job status notifications

Dear Campus Colleagues:

I'm happy to announce the first step of client interaction with Maximo, the new work order system for Facilities Services (FS).

Beginning February 1st, every request for service, whether called or e-mailed in to our Customer Service Center, will receive an automatic status notification for the requestor with service request number and other pertinent information. Once the service request becomes an actual work order, another update will be generated to provide the work order number - the service ID of record. A final notification will be sent when the work order is field complete. 

This is the first of several steps FS will pursue to create and expand client access to the system including an interface for reporting and tracking of work orders and costs.
