UC Berkeley Botanical Garden Redwood Grove Summer Concert Series

May 29, 2019

 Vice Chancellor for Research Office

Dear Campus Community,

The University of California Botanical Garden at Berkeley is pleased to announce the return of its annual Redwood Grove Summer Concert Series. The concerts are held every Thursday, plus some special Tuesdays, June through August, in the Botanical Garden's outdoor amphitheater under towering redwoods. Shows are held in the golden hours between 5:30-7:30pm and are family- and picnic-friendly. (We strongly encourage you to ride the Hill Shuttle for free with your campus ID!)

As always, the line-up has something for everyone and includes a wide range of performers, from old time music great Jerron 'Blind Boy' Paxton to joyous jazz from Sammy Miller & the Congregation. We're bringing back local favorites, like Rupa & the April Fishes, and introducing you to new bands, like Handmade Moments from the hometown of Fayetteville, AR. Opening night is Thursday, June 6, with beautiful Peruvian indie pop couple Alejandro Y Maria Laura bringing a full band.

In the past few years, all the shows have been completely sold out, so please register early if you'd like to enjoy a show!
