Switch Today: BlueJeans Video Conferencing Retiring Soon

To the campus community:

Last spring we announced several changes to video and web conferencing options in our ongoing effort to help simplify and streamline these service offerings for campus. We launched Google Hangouts Meet in March, transitioned from ReadyTalk to Zoom in May, and now we are finalizing steps toward retiring BlueJeans in early November. If you currently use BlueJeans, the Campus Shared Services IT team is available to help transition you to a new video conferencing tool.

What do I need to do?

  • Save BlueJeans Meetings - If you have meetings you have recorded in BlueJeans and wish to save them, you will need to download them prior to the retirement date. Access to these recordings will end once BlueJeans is retired. Learn how to download and save recordings
  • Choose a New Video Conferencing Tool - See the comparison chart below to help you decide which option will work best for you. Hangouts Meet is an easy tool that integrates with bCal and will suffice for most video conferencing needs. However, if you are wanting features similar to what you had using BlueJeans, you may want to consider Zoom.
