Staff Appreciation Week (June 11 - 15) is next week!
Dr. Jennifer Strauss from the Berkeley Seismology Lab is our Keynote speaker during Tuesday lunchtime at Sibley Auditorium. Get an overview on earthquake hazards in the Bay Area, some cool science the lab is working on to help increase knowledge and safety, and bust some common myths about earthquakes and preparedness.
Summerfest is back on Wednesday with extended hours from 11am - 2pm. There will be food trucks with food available the entire time... so no need to arrive right at the beginning, or worry we’ll run out. Managers are encouraged to stagger their staff’s time-off to attend over the three hours as business needs allow.
And please remember you MUST BRING your staff Cal ID card to Summerfest where it will be scanned to get a ticket for food and a t-shirt. This event is for people currently in a staff job classification title as well as our library colleagues.
Join your colleagues and our senior leadership for Friday’s Cal Walks At Work. Participation does require signing up ahead of time to be sure you get your t-shirt and are entered into the prize drawings.
One final note - please be aware that parking in the West Circle will be extremely limited at West Crescent Lawn on Wednesday due to Summerfest. We appreciate you planning alternate parking arrangements that day.
