Promoting Financial Wellness On Campus

 Student Affairs

Dear faculty and staff -

Finances can be stressful for students, distracting them from focusing on their academic and extracurricular work. As we mentioned earlier, the Bears for Financial Success program helps students navigate their personal finances with basic money management skills like creating a budget, managing debt and student loans, and understanding credit.

The Bears for Financial Success program recently purchased an online personal finance software called iGrad that is available now. This online tool has many valuable resources for students including budgeting and scholarship search tools to help students while they’re in school as well as resources to prepare students for life after Berkeley.

iGrad also has special features for faculty and staff such as planning for home ownership or preparing for retirement. Join the 1300+ UC Berkeley community members signed up to use iGrad.

I hope you join me in promoting this valuable resource to students and using it yourself. Create an account at to explore the resources available. You may be asked if you are an “administrator” when you register; be sure to select “yes” if you see this prompt so you are not reported as a student. If you need any assistance, email the team at iGrad at

Thank you for supporting financial wellness for our students and across campus!
