The University invites comments on the proposed revisions to PPSM 22 (Probationary Period). This policy is applicable to staff employees in the Professional & Support Staff.
The proposed revisions incorporate the probationary language of PPSM 61(Release During the Probationary Period or from Limited Casual/Restricted, and Floater Positions), remove common term definitions by including reference to PPSM 2 (Definitions), and update remaining definitions with PPSM 3 (Types of Appointment).
The University also invites comments on the proposed rescission of PPSM 61 (Release During the Probationary Period or from Limited Casual/Restricted, and Floater Positions). This policy is applicable to staff members except Senior Managers.
The proposed policy rescission of PPSM 61 is due to:
· the incorporation of the majority of the policy’s language into the recently revised PPSM 3 (Types of Appointment); and
· the incorporation of the remaining language into the draft revised PPSM 22 (Probationary Period).
