Dear Staff and Faculty,
I invite you to participate in the spring 2020 Chancellor’s New Student Convocation on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 3 to 4 p.m. in Wheeler Auditorium.
This upcoming New Student Convocation will formally welcome about 500 new undergraduate students to the campus. The ceremony is an opportunity for our incoming students to gather together as a class and hear from campus administration, student leaders, and faculty. It is an exciting time for our students as they begin their journey with us, and an important opportunity for us to introduce them to our community and our values.
I encourage you to attend the New Student Convocation and be seated on stage with your colleagues.
Please RSVP by Friday, January 10, 2020 if you would like to attend. We recommend you wear business attire (instead of regalia), and please be aware that you will be seated on an elevated stage.
Supervisors are encouraged to approve requests from staff to attend this campus-wide event.
