Dear Campus Community,
We invite you to join us in a series of Spring 2017 open forums focused on a campus wide initiative to foster undergraduate discovery experiences. The broad term “discovery experience” intentionally references a wide range of immersive learning projects - from substantial research experiences and artistic production to entrepreneurial initiatives and community-engaged projects. Many of our undergraduates already participate in such discovery experiences, and we aspire for all Berkeley undergraduates to do so.
Toward this goal, we invite faculty, staff, undergraduates, graduate students and postdocs to participate in discussion forums and provide feedback on this initiative. How can we best define, catalyze, administer, fund and mentor such experiences?
Concept documents are available at the link below to stimulate discussion at the forums. If you are unable to attend, please submit any ideas you may have via this link. Each forum is open to all campus members, but priority will be given to the relevant constituent in the event of limited space.
