Katz, Vice Chancellor for Research, will host a town hall on Tuesday, October 6 to provide important updates and actions you can take to safeguard our valuable campus research assets. Allison Henry, Chief Information Security Officer and Amy Neeser, Consulting + Outreach Lead, Research IT will provide important updates on threats targeting research data, real-world examples of how attackers are gaining access to systems, emerging trends in cybersecurity, ways you can counter threats, and resources available for UC Berkeley researchers.
A panel of experts will be available to answer further questions, including Anthony Joseph, Chancellor’s Professor, Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and UC Berkeley’s Cyber-Risk Responsible Executive, and Ken Lutz, Interim Director of Research IT.

This Town Hall will kick off a series of events and brown bag sessions throughout the month of October, to help researchers learn more about tools and resources available to keep campus data assets secure.
