Dear Colleagues,
Our Fall Staff Appreciation Week for 2019 is underway. However, we do have an important update for you regarding the impact of the power outages and fires.
-
Wednesday 10/30, Morning Stretch at the Staff Garden - Due to the poor air quality from the fires this week, we have decided to postpone this outdoor event until we can reschedule. We are very sorry to do this, as close to five hundred of you have already signed up, but we will be announcing new dates as soon as we have them. Those who did register have already been contacted directly.
Here’s what we’re still planning on though:
-
Wednesday 10/30: Cupcakes? Check! - Our campus partner, Bank of the West is celebrating Staff Appreciation Week and their four year UC Berkeley anniversary with free cupcakes (courtesy of A Girl Named Pinky - Cake Boutique) at the ASUC Student Union MLK Jr. branch between 11a-1p.
-
Thursday 10/31: 12 pm at Sibley Auditorium: Keynote Presentation– "Physics for Future Presidents" Join Bob Jacobsen, Professor of Physics and Dean of Undergraduate Studies in the College of Letters and Science, as he gives an overview of the physics all engaged citizens should know. He will also share how this content of this lecture has changed as the field, world and presidents have as well. Join us in Sibley Auditorium at noon or stream the event online through this link
With thanks and appreciation for all that you do, and your patience this week especially!
