Dear faculty and staff,

On Tuesday, September 25th, from 12 to 1 p.m. in Alumni House, Campus Conversations will host two individuals whose work is critical to Berkeley’s academic mission: Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Education Cathy Koshland and Vice Provost for Graduate Studies and Dean of the Graduate Division Fiona Doyle.

Our campus’s strategic planning process is setting the groundwork for a new era of excellence at Berkeley, and this effort includes both an emerging vision for the future of undergraduate education as well as new ideas about how we will attract and retain the world’s best graduate students for years to come. At this event, Cathy and Fiona will discuss the ways in which our academic enterprise is evolving to better serve undergraduate and graduate students. Bring your questions and your lunch - we’ll provide cookies and refreshments.

After Fiona and Cathy present next week, our monthly leadership speaker series will continue with Vice Chancellor for Research Randy Katz on October 15, Vice Chancellor for University Development and Alumni Relations Julie Hooper on November 14, and Chancellor Carol Christ at the semester’s final event on December 12. For more information and to view previous conversations, visit campusconversations.berkeley.edu.

If you need special accommodations for this event, please contact publicaffairs@berkeley.edu. A Cal ID is required to attend.

Sincerely,

Diana Harvey

Associate Vice Chancellor for Communications & Public Affairs
