I am writing to encourage you to submit nominations for the Elise and Walter A. Haas International Award. The deadline for nominations is May 10, 2019.
The Haas International Award honors a UC Berkeley alumnus or alumna (having attended the campus for a minimum of two semesters or three quarters) who is a native, citizen, or resident of a nation other than the United States and has a distinguished record of service to his or her country. The award includes a cash prize of US $20,000, an engraved medallion, and travel expenses for the recipient to attend the award presentation on October 18, 2019.
If you know of one or more alumni who you feel deserve this prestigious honor, I urge you to complete a nomination. Your effort will not only help to ensure that Berkeley acknowledges the most deserving individual — it will also affirm our commitment to fostering extraordinary contributions on the world stage.
