Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,
The American Cultures (AC) Center is pleased to invite nominations for the 2020 American Cultures Teaching in Excellence Award. This award recognizes a UC Berkeley faculty member whose exceptional approach to teaching an AC course creates impactful and generative classroom environments that enable students to grapple with the complexity of American cultures.
Recipients receive a $2,500 grant and are honored at our annual award ceremony. This year, the ceremony for recipients of this award will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2020. Details of award criteria can be found on the AC Center website.
Nomination Guidelines
The first stage of this award requires a nomination to be completed and submitted by Friday, February 28, 2020. While the nomination needs to be approved and submitted by the department chair, vice-chair for instruction or another appropriate official, the nomination itself may be initiated by any member of the campus community (including faculty, staff, and students).
