Advisory: Cal Move-in Day is August 14, 2017 Dear Colleagues, Cal Move-In day is Monday, August 14, 2017, 8:00 am-8:00 pm. During this time, there will be extremely heavy traffic in the south campus area. For campus permit holders, parking will be extremely limited. Between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm, many campus lots will be reserved for incoming students who obtained a Cal move-in permit. Approximately 5,200 incoming freshmen (7,000 students total) will be moving into their residence halls. We expect their families to be present with them. From August 14 to August 21, new students will be going through Golden Bear Orientation. Be aware that large student groups will be moving around the campus, south campus and downtown Berkeley.
