This week, meet campus leaders and weigh in on the future of Berkeley

February 6, 2018

Dear faculty, staff, and students,

On the heels of last month’s engaging discussion with Vice Chancellor & Chief Financial Officer Rosemarie Rae, the Office of Communications and Public Affairs invites you to the second edition of Campus Conversations, our monthly series of meet-and-greet events with Berkeley leaders.

On Monday, February 12, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Paul Alivisatos will offer his vision for the future of Berkeley’s academic enterprise and take questions from the campus community. The event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in Alumni House, and we’ll provide cookies and light refreshments. Please bring a Cal ID if you’d like to attend.

Later this semester, Campus Conversations will host Vice Chancellor for Administration Marc Fisher on March 22 and Chancellor Carol Christ on April 24. We hope you’ll join us at one or more of these events to get acquainted with Berkeley’s new leadership and to learn about the changes taking place on campus.

Finally, we’d also like to invite you to two town hall forums with the leaders of Berkeley’s recently announced strategic planning processOn February 12 from 5 to 6 p.m. in Alumni House’s Toll Room and February 13 from noon to 1 p.m. in Bechtel Engineering Center’s Sibley Auditorium, members of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee will outline the effort to build a ten-year strategic framework for our institution They’ll also take plenty of questions and comments from the audience, so if you’re interested in helping chart Berkeley’s future, don’t miss it!

Sincerely,

Diana Harvey
Associate Vice Chancellor for Communications & Public Affairs
