This Wednesday: Campus Conversations with Chancellor Christ and EVCP Alivisatos

December 10, 2018

 Communications & Public Affairs

Dear faculty and staff,

The Office of Communications and Public Affairs is delighted to invite you to the semester’s final edition of Campus Conversations - this time featuring UC Berkeley’s seniormost executives Chancellor Carol Christ and Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Paul Alivisatos - on Wednesday, December 12, from 12 to 1 p.m. The event will be held in the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union’s West Pauley Ballroom.

Chancellor Christ and EVCP Alivisatos have served in their roles for nearly a year and a half, and the campus has taken on many challenges and undergone all manner of changes in that time. On Wednesday, the two leaders will reflect on their work thus far and discuss plans for Berkeley’s future, offering information and updates on the state of our budget, our strategic planning process, the newly created Division of Data Science and Information, the recently announced Undergraduate Student Diversity Project, and more. They’ll also be happy to take questions on topics of your choosing.

As always, we’ll have treats and light refreshments on hand. Please bring a Cal ID if you’d like to attend.

After the winter holiday, Campus Conversations will resume next semester with a new line-up of Berkeley leaders. We hope to see you later this week, and look forward to continuing the conversation in the spring!

Sincerely,

Diana Harvey

Associate Vice Chancellor for Communications and Public Affairs
