Spring Staff Appreciation Week - Faculty Lecture today!

March 20, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

It’s Spring Staff Appreciation Week! Don’t miss our inspiring Faculty Lecture today with bioengineer Professor Amy E. Herr who will speak on “Grit and Impact: Engineering Your Professional Path.” Professor Herr is a distinguished scientist, who's using science, technology, engineering and math to make molecular measurements in complex biological fluids, understand those measurements, and then use them to inform diagnostics on many different types of things, including diseases and finding a cure for cancer. Learn more about Prof. Herr and the Herr Lab on campus

Today, Amy will discuss the value of grit and determination over brilliance, and how you can get your career path here at Berkeley on the right track. Join us in Sibley Auditorium at 12 noon in person, or you can watch online

On that same theme of growing your career, Wisdom Cafe has just published its new edition, spotlighting the importance of appreciation. You can read the appreciation and recognition articles on their site and watch an interview with our EVCP Paul Alivisatos on what it means to be a leader. And while you’re online, visit our Staff Orgs site to get more involved in campus life, stay connected and grow your network.

Thank you for all that you do - we appreciate you!

Jo

Jo Mackness, Interim AVC-HR

P.S. Don’t forget tomorrow (Wed.) is our first ever Staff Field Day - bring your sports and weather appropriate attire!
