Spring Staff Appreciation Week - Charter Day

March 23, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

Thanks so much to all of you who turned out for Field Day on Wednesday despite the inclement weather. You really showed grit, and how the Cal spirit, being team players, and having fun, is at the heart of how we show up here at Berkeley. Check out our slideshow for proof! On Tuesday, Prof. Amy Herr delivered an inspiring Faculty Lecture (catch it on-demand here) for staff which was focused on how you can drive your career, the importance of mentorship, how to have an experimental mindset, and why networking is key. As a distinguished bioengineer, and self described high functioning introvert, Amy created her talk just for you, with plenty of actionable items for you to get the most out of your career path here.

That brings us to today, which as I’m sure you are aware, is a day to celebrate Berkeley. We want to encourage all of you to join in the 150th celebrations for Charter Day at Haas Pavilion at 11am and Spieker Plaza at 12 noon. If you haven’t already got your free tickets to this once in a lifetime event, you can visit our official 150th site online for more details. It’s a terrific way to cap off our Spring Staff Appreciation Week and re-engage with the heart and spirit of Cal.

We’ll see you there!

Jo
