Share your ideas about Berkeley's future at two town halls this week

April 30, 2018

Dear campus community,

As Chancellor Christ and EVCP Alivisatos recently announced, Berkeley’s strategic planning process hit a milestone last week with the release of its steering committee’s draft report. This document offers recommendations about key areas of focus and transformation for our institution over the course of the next decade.

While significant faculty, staff, student, and alumni feedback went into the development of this draft report, input from an even broader swath of our community is essential if we are to create a strategic roadmap for the campus that everyone at Berkeley is proud of and invested in.

As such, we encourage you to attend one of the semester’s final two strategic planning town halls at the end of this week. These events will offer the chance to comment on the report’s recommendations as well as pose questions and make suggestions to members of the planning process’ steering committee and working groups.

The town halls will take place on Thursday, May 3, from 5 to 6 p.m. in 106 Stanley Hall and on Friday, May 4, from 12 to 1 p.m. in Chou Hall's Spieker Forum. Please note that these locations have changed since the previous announcement.

We hope to see you at one of these events, and look forward to hearing your ideas about the future of Berkeley. If you’re not able to attend in person but would still like to offer input, you can also submit feedback online at strategicplan.berkeley.edu.

Thank you for your involvement in a process that is so crucial to Berkeley’s continued preeminence.

Sincerely,

Diana Harvey

Associate Vice Chancellor for Communications & Public Affairs
