This Monday at Noon: Campus Conversations with Chancellor Christ

May 8, 2020

 Communications & Public Affairs

Dear Campus Community,

The Office of Communications and Public Affairs would like to invite you to a special virtual edition of Campus Conversations, featuring Chancellor Carol Christ, this coming Monday, May 11, at noon. The discussion will be webcast live at campusconversations.berkeley.edu.

As a spring semester unlike any other comes to a close, Chancellor Christ will provide an update on Berkeley’s response to the COVID-19 crisis and share information about how the campus is planning for the fall semester amidst continued uncertainty. Building off of a recent message to the Berkeley community, she will discuss three scenarios for the fall as well as dig deeper into the work of newly established recovery committees that are studying how the campus will safely resume operations. She will also provide an update on how the pandemic is affecting our campus budget.

After a moderated discussion, Chancellor Christ will take questions from the Berkeley community. Please submit your questions in advance via this Google Form. Those tuning in via the UC Berkeley Facebook page can also offer questions in real time by submitting them in the comments section of the post.

After the summer break, Campus Conversations will resume in the fall with a new line-up of Berkeley leaders. Berkeley Conversations: COVID-19, a separate speaker series featuring campus scholars examining the many ways in which the pandemic has affected society, will continue throughout the summer.

Sincerely,

Diana Harvey

Associate Vice Chancellor for Communications and Public Affairs
