Get ready for UCPath

February 4, 2019

 UC Path

Dear Colleagues,

This March, Berkeley will transition to UCPath, our new UC-wide system for payroll, personnel, HR and benefits. Our transition begins in early March, and as we’ve learned from the experience of other campus locations, in order to ensure that everyone gets paid accurately and on time, we strongly urge you to do the following by the end of February:

  • Review your home address and personal information in our current system - Blu, to make sure we have your most up-to-date information before it’s moved to UCPath.

    • If you receive paper paychecks, it’s important to make sure your CURRENT HOME address (not check address) is correct since you will receive your paycheck by mail to your current home address.

    • Even if you do not receive paper paychecks, it’s important to ensure we have your correct home address in case any paycheck needs to be mailed to you.

  • Enroll in direct deposit (if you have not done so already) and your paychecks will be automatically transferred into your bank account every payday. Note: in the new UCPath system paper paychecks are sent by the U.S. Postal Service and will be mailed on payday and will arrive at your home after payday.

  • Familiarize yourself with your most recent paystub through At Your Service Online Make sure you know what ‘normal’ looks like for you. You should print a copy for your reference to compare with the paystub after UCPath is implemented to make sure it’s correct.

  • And finally, as always, be sure to report your work time (enter your hours) by the deadlines in CalTime. This has been a major factor in people not getting paid at other campuses transitioning to UCPath.

UCPath is key to our ongoing operations - your action on the above “to dos” is critical to getting everyone paid properly and on time.
