Dear Colleagues,
You are a vital part of making this University run, each and every day, and you play a major role in all we have accomplished together. We are always looking to grow the ways we recognize your efforts, from the year-round Achievement and Spot awards, to the Excellence in Management awards in spring, to the Staff Appreciation Week program now occuring in spring, summer and fall.
To reflect our year-round effort to thank you and appreciate what you do, we have decided to permanently move the annual Chancellor’s Outstanding Staff Awards (COSA’s) from spring to the fall, starting this year. We present these awards to those individuals and teams that demonstrate exceptional initiative to create significant positive impact on our campus community - it is one of the highest honors staff can receive during their UC Berkeley career.
Nominations for the fall COSA Awards will begin this summer so start thinking of who you would like to nominate, be it an individual you work with, a team you participated in, or yes, even yourself. Our special thanks to the members of the Chancellor’s Staff Advisory Committee who established and administer this important awards program.
