Celebrate Zero Waste October!

Dear Campus Community:

In 2004, the University of California, as part of our Sustainability Policy, set the visionary goal of zero waste by 2020.  We are now less than two years away from that goal.

To highlight and support our campus zero waste efforts, please join us for activities throughout the month to celebrate Zero Waste October!

We are encouraging the campus community to participate in our planned Zero Waste October events, or you can also host your own zero waste activity or event in October. Be sure to let Cal Zero Waste know about your event so we can add you to our website and share how you are helping the campus achieve zero waste.

Here is a brief list of zero waste activities supporting zero waste in October:

• October 10, 2018 – Tolman Hall Free ReUSE Day
• October 16, 2018 – NCRA Zero Waste Forum
• October 23, 2018 – Campus Zero Waste Working Group Meeting
• October 27, 2018 – PAC 12 Zero Waste Bowl Football Competition Game:
  Cal Athletics has partnered with Cal Zero Waste to support and reward those who are part of the zero waste efforts.
