Call for Nominations: 2019 Peter E. Haas Public Service Award

Dear campus community,

I am pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2019 Peter E. Haas Public Service Award. This year we are excited to honor the recipient at the Spring Commencement ceremony. The deadline for nominations is March 8. 

This annual award is among our most prestigious and generous on campus. It recognizes a Berkeley alumnus/a who exemplifies our institution's commitment to the public good and whose volunteerism has had a profound impact in one of our four areas: community and social service, health care, education, or the environment. 

Established in honor of the late Peter E. Haas '40, a generous campus benefactor and longtime volunteer himself, the award comes with a $20,000 cash prize as well as $20,000 to be donated to a charity of the winner's choice.
