On March 23, 1868, the University of California was born. And Berkeley, its first campus, is today the most distinguished public university in the history of higher education. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate 150 years of Berkeley’s extraordinary life. 

Berkeley 150 Charter Day Celebration

Friday, March 23, 2018 

11 a.m. — Ceremony in Zellerbach Hall. The ceremony is free, but tickets are required and available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Note: Faculty and staff who are also alumni can process with their class. Choose “UCB Alumni (Processing)” when you register.

12 p.m. — Party on Lower Sproul Plaza

Berkeley could not have reached this milestone without you — our students, faculty, and staff — who embody Fiat Lux and project the light of Cal in your studies, teaching, research, and service. Please join the Charter Day Celebration.
